Strategic Planning and Program Development
Strategic planning is a process, not an end product. It must
be revisited throughout the life of the program to continually
reflect the changing needs of the target population. The planning
must take place in a transparent way, which involves soliciting
input from key community stakeholders and the target population.
Funders will use the plan to determine whether the organization
has developed an effective program to accomplish the mission
outlined in the solicitation or proposal. Program staff and
stakeholders will use the plan to monitor and improve performance.
Therefore, the planning phase is one of the most critical portions
of a program.
WCS has developed strategic and evaluation plans that clients
have presented with confidence to funding agencies and that
have played a key role in securing funding for future years.
We have experience assisting clients in choosing appropriate
educational tools, including evidence-based interventions, which
can be adapted to meet the needs of a specific target population.
